Help us
write the next chapter
of blood donation

Since 1930, we’ve stood arm in arm with blood donors to support and champion them. Today, we at the Edinburgh and South East Scotland Blood Transfusion Association (ESESBTA) are looking for your thoughts on how we can best support the blood donors of the future. Donors like you who continue to give blood and other blood products, and keep the blood transfusion story alive.

Every donation you make
keeps the story alive
What makes the story of blood transfusion so special?
It’s that, since the very beginning, from 1930, it’s never been just ours.
It’s Jack Copland’s who spotted an opportunity.
It’s everyone’s who has ever given blood or a blood product, or donated funds within Edinburgh and South East Scotland.
It’s everyone’s who’s been saved or who’s saved a life through blood transfusion.
It’s the people who champion the next piece of game-changing technology.
And 95 years on, the story is still being written thanks to every person’s commitment, ideas and generosity that give it a boost.
The story still isn’t just ours.
The story is made up of billions of stories. And growing.
And that’s why the blood transfusion story will always be alive.
