ESESBTA has a role to receive and administer donations, legacies and contributions that it can use to fund projects in support of donors.     One lifetime member’s donation story

    Every generous donation we receive has a personal story behind it, and Mr Smith’s was no exception. After a lifetime of support for giving blood and volunteering, Mr Smith left a gift in his Will. His family remember him telling stories about lying directly next to a man he was giving blood to, something that was common in the early days of blood transfusion before it was stored, and telling jokes to pass the time. A truly selfless act that he was passionate about from a very young age all through to his 70s.
